So, the time has finally arrived to set off for Cape Town to join up with my fellow crew mates on the good ship Derry~Londonderry~Doire and I am currently sat in the departures lounge at Heathrow. The last few weeks have been a bit of a whirlwind, with finishing work for 6 months, travelling to Spain to see my parents, and getting things organised and packed into dry bags, not wanting to take too much, but having enough to keep warm on those cold days and nights that await.
A huge thanks to everyone who has helped me prepare for this adventure, your support and encouragement means a lot to me.
